It's taken some time, it's been painstaking, but I managed to acquire an cosmoscope from some Water Traders in the City of the Brass.    It's a bit outdated, an oscillating model, it uses an amber prism, not an emerald.   But, good price, and I don't have a lot to spend these days.   I've been able to take some broad measurements of the multiverse, particularly of the negative spaces in between.   It seems that the Strangetower was not the only thing destroyed -- there was a sweeping time quake which seems to have wiped out most of the microcosms in the entire multiverse.   What caused it?   Was it some kind of powerful vergence?   A weapon?  The whim or deep machinations of an ubergod?   This crappy little spyglass only tells me the symptom, but I still can't diagnose the disease. Still, that's a start, isn't it?
